Humans, alarmed by earthquakes, need seismographic data, not noise from other humans. The Los Angeles Times removes the weak link from its breaking seismic news: "This information comes from the USGS Earthquake Notification Service and this post was created by an algorithm written by the author."

Ha ha, you machines. You still don't understand how humans work! Human journalists write all earthquake stories according to an algorithm they have stored in their brains (i.e., wet-RAM). The only difference here is that because the algorithm in question was stored on a machine, the humans decided to leave a note explaining this to other humans.
